Join Jacqueline each Sunday evening in November for a Yin and Restorativeworkshop. It’s a perfect opportunity for beginners to learn more about each practice and advanced yogis to deepen their current practice. Below are descriptions of both the Yin and restorative yoga practices.
Yin Yoga focuses on postures that lengthen the muscles surrounding the hips, pelvis and lower back. Students typically hold these for 3-10 minutes per side to lengthen the connective tissue surrounding the joints and increase its elasticity. As our connective tissue ages, it becomes less elastic, making Yin essential for injury prevention and joint health. Yin Yoga restores and calms the nervous system.
Restorative Yoga uses props with postures for extended periods to initiate deep relaxation of the body, mind, and spirit. It is also an excellent practice for those recovering from an injury or experiencing pain or discomfort.
Single Workshop Drop-in: $20
All 4 Sessions: $70 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 11/28
