Winter Warmth

Restorative Yoga

Join Cecelia to keep up your spirits and health as we embrace the season of winter.

Saturday

Feb 7th 1-3pm

The Lymphatic Self-Massage to maintain and restore vitality, strength, a healthy immune system and for preparing for moments of deep rest, stillness while supported by 2 bolsters, 2-4 blocks, and 5-7 blankets.

Restorative Yoga to promote and maintain vitality, health of body/mind during the colder months of winter.

Winter is also a contemplative time of year. A time for self-reflection, a time to go inward and explore that, which arises from slowing down.

Experience a sequence of Restorative Yoga postures. Supported by bolsters, blankets surrender into a conscious state of stillness, presence.

We will conclude with a few moments of journaling.

Explore your thoughts and feelings that arise from your inner stillness.

Girls will claim their mantras, explore power and flight poses, speak and breathe affirmations. Self-expression and creativity will flow through art and visualization activities. The focus of this camp is to build confidence, self-esteem and cooperation while learning to relax and de-stress.

Stress Reduction Tip

Remember to notice your breath throughout the day, as often as possible. If the breath feels tense, acknowledge it. The simple act of acknowledging often has a healing effect. If your breath is feeling stressed, chances are that you are too.

Don’t get hung up on what your body looks like. Focus on what your body can do!

 

As I learn to surrender on the mat, I learn to surrender to the present moment. This is the practice. It’s accessible to you, to everyone, right here, right now – but you have to do the work. No one is going to do it for you. Don’t hold back.

Today is a beautiful day for a new beginning.

I know this SNOW has got your back down from scooping!  Brad & I were talking this evening about how much snow he has scooped this year.  I sugested he call Dr. Riley & then I get this email from the Dr.!

So much for springtime.
If you were shoveling snow I hope you bent your knees and took smaller shovel fulls of the wet heavy stuff.  Remember to stretch out this evening if you have been shoveling or just playing in the snow.
If you have been out and about hopefully it was a safe journey for you.

I just wanted to remind everyone that I have started to expand the hours to Monday evening, Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday evening and Saturday morning.
