Class Descriptions

All movements in each class can be modified and will be demonstrated for each level, building from the very basic to more challenging. Each person is completely free to explore and create their own experience, while listening to their own wise, internal voice and that of the teacher. Classes finish with final relaxation and energy breath work.

Hot Yoga:

Doing yoga in a heated room (95+ degrees) Prepare to move, sweat and feel GREAT adding heat it is said that classes will help you lose weight, loosen your muscles (by adding increased range of motion) and improve your cardiovascular system. It differs from Bikram's in that the series of postures are not always (but can be) in any particular order and modifications are often offered.


Zen Hatha

Zen HathaThis is the foundation of every style of yoga mentioned here. Traditional Hatha yoga is a holistic path that includes disciplines, physical postures (asanas), purification procedures, breathing (pranayama), and meditation. Hatha practiced in the West consists of mostly physical postures and is also recognized as a gentle introductory yoga for people new to yoga.


Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa FlowDerived from Ashtanga yoga, expect a class full of rhythmical flow connecting each moment with unifying pranayama (breath). Classes can be more meditative or focused on the natural movement of the body, almost like dancing through postures. This class is great transition from Hatha when you're looking for more of a challenge.


PIYO with Props

This fusion of core strengthening Pilates and muscle balancing yoga will leave your body feeling invigorated and strong! Using moves from both yoga and Pilates, this class will help improve your balance, lengthen your muscles and calm your mind. It's the best of both worlds!



PilatesFor a refreshing mind-body workout come to Pilates. Even if you practice yoga or exercise regularly, Pilates takes you to a whole new level by working your core muscles, the deep abdominal muscles that support the spine, which are essential for strength and flexibility. A system of movement and strengthening, Pilates promotes full breath, healthy joint articulation and stability in the important core muscles of the body.

Pilates has deep therapeutic benefits too. In fact, a Pilates practice has shown tremendous results in providing relief from chronic back pain.



HITT FIT YOGA - High-intensity interval training (HIIT) describes any workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. Interval Burst's followed with a yoga flow! Great way to start your day


Restorative Yoga

Restorative YogaThe yoga of non-doing, is a core practice underlying the very essence of yoga. Even those with an active dynamic yoga practice will benefit from the inner quietude and deep release of Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga is the practice of entering into yoga postures using an assortment of props: blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps, walls, chairs, tables, eye pillows, the floor, and even another yoga practitioner. Supported and stabilized by various props, one experiences the yoga postures as profoundly relaxing and deeply rejuvenating, invoking a natural state of healing rest, renewal and equanimity. Supported and passive yoga postures allow the body to naturally release, letting go of deeply held tension and stress. The result is a balanced state of being from the inside out. Restorative Yoga is a life enhancing practice. It is appropriate for anyone, at any age or stage of life, or in any physical condition.


Chair Yoga:

Chair YogaThis class is a gentle yoga that is accessible to those who have are recovering from an injury and can't get down on the mat, for those with limited mobility such as seniors, people with physical handicaps, or it can even be a great introduction for an able-bodied person who thinks they might not be flexible enough for a traditional hatha yoga class that uses mats.

While chair yoga is very gentle, it still offers the same benefits as the more traditional forms of yoga such as greater flexibility, more supple muscle tone, improved breathing and a more focused mind. This is a great place to begin your yoga journey!
